*Character Post* Amy Evans + Giveaway

Welcome Amy Evans to Indie Girl March!!! She has a fun character interview
and a fun giveaway!! Check it out and show some Indie LOVE!!

First love is the sweetest....

Jax and Jacey are everyone's favorite couple, even though they've barely ever kissed.

In kindergarten, Jax pulled out a chair for Jacey and swept the play dough off so that she would sit down next to him and he's been carving out ways for them to stick together ever since. Though everyone in their conservative, small beach town sees them as a couple, they're not, exactly. Because while they both want more, they've agreed to wait.

Jacey works hard, respects her elders and follows every spoken and silent rule about fitting in and doing the ‘right’ thing. She doesn't dare give the gossips more fodder from her family, so she's kept Jax firmly in the friendzone. It takes a hurricane for her to realize timing is everything, but months later she’s still too afraid to put her heart on the line and tell him how she feels. Then plans change – hers for summer and his for college, and Jacey needs to make the most of the time she and Jax have left, or stay stuck in the land of missed beginnings forever.

Clicks are the sounds the universe makes when it stops to tell you what's going to happen next. Truths you hear in your heart that you can't explain.
For sixteen year old Cami, the clicks won’t stop. They’re telling her to fall in love with the wrong twin, that her family is hiding something, and that Pinhold, her pristine Island home, is in danger.

Born and bred to win, Cami’s family expects her to join a secret society called The Guard, marry one of the two identical twin boys next door, and stay on Pinhold Island for the rest of her life. Home to perfect waves, black sand beaches, and the world-famous Surf Carnival, Pinhold seems deceptively perfect. While visitors are jealous of the few hundred people who get to live there, Cami feels stifled. Thanks to the intense link she shares with her own twin, Mica, she can't even be alone with her thoughts. While Cami's more than happy to be a lifeguard, a lifelong commitment to the endless summer feels like a trap.

It should have been a fun summer of surf competitions and beach patrol. But dolphins are washing up on shore and the best swimmers are drowning. Then her twin brother Mica goes down too.
The only thing that can save her brother is the truth that only Cami can learn. But can she trust the clicks?

Amy: How is life without Jacey?

Jax: Pretty strange, considering I’ve never gone more than three days without seeing her and now it’s been weeks. And pretty boring. She always adds color to my days.

Amy: So not so busy without some one who constantly needs rescuing?

Jax: You make her sound weak and she’s not. I want to be a part of everything with her, which is not the same as being needed, necessarily.

Amy: Even when her needs are at odds with your own? Like the whole fake relationship thing?

Jax: That was my fault as much as hers. It worked for both of us in an odd way, until it didn’t. It can be hard to unwind cycles of behavior that go on for a long time , but we finally did, and that’s what matters.

Amy: Yeah, at the last possible second. Isn’t it frustrating that she’s gone when you’re finally together?

Jax: Definitely. But maybe we needed that threat to actually pull the trigger on this thing, you know, like you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone?

Amy: And you’re ok with that?

Jax: It’s not an insult. We’re…complicated; lots of layers, and that stripped some of them away. So while I hate the distance, I appreciate the circumstances because they led us to this point.

Amy: But you’ve waited YEARS.

Jax: You have to have the right person at the right time. I’ve always known Jacey was the right person. She had to decide it was the right time. Besides, we were always together even though we weren’t really together. And that counts for some thing, right?

Amy: If you think so. She’s lucky to have you.

Jax: I’m lucky to have her. When she’s not in my life, I don’t feel like myself.

Amy: Maybe that could be a good thing?

Jax: Definitely not. Who’s side are you on here, anyway?

Amy: Yours. Both of yours.

Jax: Just checking. Keep it that way, ok?

Amy: I’ll try.
