*Interview* Alison Pensy + Giveaway

Welcome Alison Pensy to the blog today!!  I am so excited about these
books & I must say I love the cover of The Amulet <3

The Amulet- To Faedra, faeries were nothing more than the figurines she collected and displayed in her curio cabinet. Or so she thought... Faeries control nature. With a book, no less. But Faedra doesn't know that...yet. She is next in line to protect an ancient fae amulet that controls weather. And she's blissfully unaware of that fact, too. She also doesn't know that the book has been stolen and now the thief is after the amulet and willing to kill for it. Ignorance is bliss, and then you turn 18

The Emerald Staff- Faedra was enjoying the fact that everything was back to normal. Well, as normal as it could get when you had the ability to manipulate energy, were protector of an ancient Fae amulet, and lived with a fairy guardian 24/7. Her dad had even started dating. Yes, all was right again in Faedra’s world, or so she thought…

The Cypher Wheel-  Faen was worried about his charge. Faedra had locked herself away in the cottage on a self-imposed quarantine, for six months. She was having trouble controlling her newly acquired powers, and was terrified of hurting someone. But, enough was enough.
When Eytran obtained some tickets for a treasure hunt, her father and friends persuaded her that it was time to get out of the house and back into the real world. Only a treasure hunt, what could possibly go wrong…?

The Diamond Cuff-  Across the land, wedding bells ring out their joyous announcement. But, when a wedding gift is discovered to possess a dark and sinister secret, the damage has already been done.
As the dust settles, Faedra is thrust into a different role…one she is not ready for. The only hope she has of defeating a deadly force that threatens her new home, is to pull her allies together. She can only pray it will be enough to save the kingdom she has fallen in love with.

1.       If you were to describe your exact opposite, what 10 words would you use?

Boring, Home body, Humorless, Cautious, Narrow minded, Extrovert, Uncaring, Lazy, Non-animal lover.

2.       Who is the hardest character that you have written?

I'm having a bit of trouble with a new character in my current WIP. I think this is more to do with the fact that I'm still not sure where I'm going with the story and therefore not quite sure how to develop him. This is another reason for my answer below…

3.       Would you change being Indie if you could or are you happier being Indie? Why?

No, I wouldn't change being Indie, although, I never say never.  I love being in control of my own destiny.  I also don't write well under pressure, so being under the deadlines of a traditional publishing house would not work well for me.  I'm what's called in the business, a hobbyist.  I enjoy writing for fun, when it becomes a "job" all creativity goes out of the window.  I like having the freedom to write when I want to write and not write when I don't want to, or, as in the case of Question 2 above, I can take a break for as long as my brain needs to percolate a solution. J

4.       Best moment you have had since becoming an author.

Hitting #1 on Amazon's Children's Bestseller List with The Amulet.

This or That

·         Hot or Cold – Can I choose both? I'm a winter girl, but there's nothing better than wrapping cold hands around a hot cup of tea.
·         Candy or Chips – Candy, always and forever.
·         Heels or Flats – Flats. I would love to wear heels but I'm already so tall, I feel like a giant in heels.

·         Night or Day – Day. Night is when all the scary, creepy things happen.

About the Author

Alison Pensy was born and raised in England. She grew up near a medieval city, which is where much of the inspiration for her books comes from. Moving to the States in 2001, she eventually settled near a small town in mid Missouri with her menagerie of animals.

Alison also runs her own tax and accounting business and started writing when she became so fed up with the real world, she decided to create her own.

Alison also writes new adult romance under the pen name of Adrianna Blakeley. Her first romance novel, titled A Summer Down Under, was released in October 2012. She decided on using a pen name for her adult novels because she didn’t want to confuse any of her younger readers, or get in trouble with their parents.

  1. I didn't read the synopsis for the last two because spoilers! But this sounds GOOD. I've been looking and looking for a new Fae series to read. Definitely going to check this out. Thank you so much for introducing us to this! And for the giveaway, of course.
