*Interview* Nichole Greene + Giveaway

Growing up isn’t always easy. But for most teenage girls, they can rely on their best friend to help them get through the process. A BFF is something that is truly treasured and completely irreplaceable. You share all of your secrets, and are loyal and honest with each other, even when you’re acting just a little bit crazy. You have each other’s backs no matter what and you form a bond that is virtually unbreakable.

At least that’s what normal teenage girls experience.

Nat and Mel have been bestie’s since childhood and Nat has followed her blindly ever since. But as Nat’s friendship with Mel begins to lead her down the wrong path, she starts to question the sincerity of their relationship. Nat starts to see Mel’s manipulative, deceitful ways become more focused on her. Will Natalie hold on tight to the friendship she’s had her entire life, no matter what it cost her? Or will she let her heart lead her to a relationship that’s not so twisted.

***Attention*** This book is recommended for mature readers. It contains underage drinking, drug use and sexual content. Thank you!

Katherine Rebecca has always done exactly what was expected of her. Her prim and proper upbringing taught her the importance of family, sacrifice, and social stature. She has followed in her parents' footsteps, being trained and groomed daily almost from birth, to take over the family law firm. It was never a question of IF she wanted to but WHEN she would take the reins of the company. She worked rigorously toward that predetermined goal her entire life. She gave up friends, boyfriends, and an exciting social life in order to propel herself through school and college. Katherine Rebecca strives to please her parents. More than anything, she basked in their praise and approval. But now, at 21 years old, she finds herself leading a life that is nothing like the life she imagined for herself.

Becky has always possessed a deep love of magic. Ever since she was a small child she has been fascinated with magicians, illusions, mystery, and the vague hope that there was some sort of real magic in the world. But this is a secret no one knows, or at least that’s what she thought. Until one day Becky finds a mysterious business card in her pocket that leads her to an equally mysterious man. He opens up a whole new world of possibilities to her, one with a tantalizing proposition that she never thought imaginable.

Could magic actually be real?

If one of your characters were to describe you, how would it sound?
My characters are pretty awesome (I think) and would say that I am nice, kind hearted, and a determined. I’m also 100% about my family and always put them first.

What do you believe would be the 'perfect' writing conditions/place?
Hawaii. We went there this past summer on vacation and it was perfect. It was peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing. The weather was so nice you could sit outside, there was always a nice breeze and the temperature was always just right.

You find yourself as the main character in your book... What is the first thing you do?
In Illusions Begin, I grab onto Blaine and never let him go!!!

Who are some of your favorite Indie Ladies?
Kristen Day, Jo Michaels, and Casey Bond just to name a few. There are really so many that are awesome writers as well as amazing friends. It still surprises me how supportive the Indie community is!
If you were able to write a book with anyone who would it be and why?
Hmmm…I think I would have to pick Kim Harrison. She is my all-time, absolute favorite author and it would be beyond amazing to work with her.

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... What one of your characters is most like you?
Nat in Twisted IS me. The book is based off of the experiences I had during middle school and high school. It wasn’t the best time of my life and I wrote it hoping people would read it and learn from my bad experiences.

Do you look at reviews for your book(s)? Why/Why not?
Yes! I can’t help it. The good ones of course make me feel good but the bad ones (so far) have been pretty helpful in my writing. I use them as to improve myself and gain knowledge about what readers want.

Give some advice to the aspiring Indie Ladies out there...
Do it! That’s it. I think the hardest thing for most people is getting over the fear of publishing their book. It may not be a best seller, ever, but the feeling of accomplishment is so overwhelming that you’ll keep writing and eventually, you’ll get whatever it si that you were hoping to get out of being an author. I know I have!!
